For groups of 24 to 30, our Olsson Smith room at Embassy House is a strong all-round choice. It seats 28 in a workshop layout or 30 in a seminar layout, with a digital screen, whiteboard and a clear hourly price of SEK 620 excluding VAT. And it’s not our only option: Embassy House Lund has 10 meeting rooms in different sizes, so we can also help you find a good fit for a smaller group or a different setup.
That said, every meeting is different. Grand Hotel Lund’s Sten Broman room has the most detailed presentation setup in this comparison. Mindpark Grow is a handy central option for eight people. And if video conferencing or hearing support is essential, the Pufendorf Institute auditorium is worth a look—provided the organiser works at Lund University.

Embassy House - Olsson Smith: A flexible all-rounder for 24 to 30 people
Let’s start with our own room. Olsson Smith at Embassy House Lund works well when you want to combine presentation time with hands-on work, without moving the group to another space halfway through the day.
The headline capacity is 30, but the room fits 28 people in a workshop layout, 24 classroom-style or 30 in a seminar setup. If your participants need tables, room for exercises or space to move between groups, those numbers matter.
You’ll have a digital screen and whiteboard for the session, plus access to an on-site printer. Coffee and tea are included too which means one less thing to organise. The location is close to Lund University, Medicon Village and Ideon Science Park, so it’s a convenient meeting point for teams coming from the university, research and business communities.
What makes Olsson Smith especially useful isn’t simply its capacity. It’s the flexibility. A group of 28 can move between collaborative work and presentation-led parts of the day without changing venue, with access to breakout space in the light-filled atrium.
The price is SEK 620 per hour excluding VAT. And no, you don’t need to be an Embassy House coworking member to book. The room is available to outside teams as well. You can bring your own catering or make arrangements through Embassy House.
Best for: Teams that want one easy-to-book room for a workshop of up to 28 people or a presentation of up to 30 in Lund’s science and innovation district.
Mindpark - Grow: A central option for eight people
If you’re bringing together a smaller group near Lund Central Station, Grow at Mindpark could be just right.
The room has a boardroom setup with a TV screen and whiteboard. It’s not designed for a large, production-heavy presentation. It’s better suited to sprint planning, management meetings, facilitated conversations and informal presentations where everyone needs to be part of the discussion.
Mindpark Lund publishes three prices excluding VAT: SEK 650 per hour, SEK 2,400 per half-day and SEK 4,000 per full day. Catering can be arranged, although you can’t bring your own coffee or fika.
Best for: Eight-person workshops or board meetings where easy railway access is high on the list.
Elite Hotel Ideon - Giga: Hotel service with online booking
Giga at Elite Hotel Ideon is worth considering if you want catering, flexible furnishing and the convenience of checking availability online.
Elite Hotel Ideon lists Giga setups for 20, 24 and 30 people. What isn’t completely clear is which seating layout belongs to each number. If you’re planning for 30, it’s a good idea to confirm that the setup will work for your particular workshop or presentation.
The hotel describes the room as flexibly furnished and equipped with modern technology, but it doesn’t publish a detailed AV list for Giga. Its online booking does, however, let you explore availability, seating choices, catering and current pricing in one place.
Best for: A catered session where formal hotel service and online availability matter more than knowing a fixed rate in advance.
Grand Hotel - Sten Broman: A well-equipped choice for polished presentations
For a presentation where sound and projection really matter, Sten Broman at Grand Hotel has the most complete published equipment list in this comparison.
The room comes with a projector, a two-metre screen, Bose sound, cordless microphones, a whiteboard and BrainLit lighting. It seats 30 in a U-shaped layout, 40 in islands, 46 classroom-style or 80 theatre-style.
The U-shaped setup works well if you want discussion around a central presentation. For workshop exercises, the island layout gives people more space to work together—although the room may be larger than a group of around 30 actually needs.
Grand Hotel Lund is close to Lund Central Station. Prices aren’t published, so you’ll need to request a proposal.
Best for: Presentations that need microphones, sound and projection in a central location.
Altitude Meetings - Action: Ready for collaborative work with 12 people
Action at Altitude Meetings comes set up in islands for 12 participants. That means less time moving furniture and more time getting into the actual work.
The room includes a screen and lends itself to group exercises, facilitated problem-solving and workshops where people regularly split into smaller teams.
Altitude Meetings is at Lund ESS, right by the final tram stop. Standard opening hours are weekdays from 08:00 to 17:00. Pricing is available on request. One condition to keep in mind: cancellations made less than four weeks before the event are charged at the full room rate.
Best for: A 12-person workshop near Lund ESS when the date is firmly set.
Lund Stadshallen - Britta Holmström: Flexible tables in the city centre
Sometimes you want everyone around one table. Sometimes you want smaller groups. Britta Holmström at Lund Stadshallen makes it easy to switch between the two.
The 43-square-metre room fits 16 people and has movable island tables that can be combined into one large table. Wi-Fi and a 75-inch HDMI screen are included, so the room can support both breakout work and a shared presentation.
Lund Stadshallen is at Stortorget 9. Prices and details about microphones, video conferencing and catering aren’t published, so these are worth checking directly with the venue.
Best for: A hands-on workshop for 16 people in central Lund.
Pufendorf Institute - auditorium: Specialist technology, but limited eligibility
Need remote participants to join—or a hearing loop for the room? The Pufendorf Institute auditorium stands out for its specialist technology.
It accommodates about 25 people in a U-shaped setup or roughly 50 theatre-style. The equipment includes high-resolution projectors, a sound system, a hearing loop and video conferencing.
The catch is that it isn’t open for everyone to book. The Pufendorf Institute accepts bookings only from Lund University employees. The auditorium costs SEK 3,500 per half-day or SEK 6,000 per full day. Catering needs to be arranged separately, and access is limited to weekdays from 08:00 to 18:00.
Best for: University-organised presentations that need remote participation or hearing support.
A few things worth checking before you book
Meeting-room websites don’t always make like-for-like comparison easy. Some venues publish hourly prices, some quote half-day or full-day rates, and others ask you to get in touch before sharing a price.
Equipment descriptions can be just as varied. A digital screen, TV or HDMI display doesn’t necessarily mean the room includes a camera, microphones, speakers or video-conferencing software. Elite Hotel Ideon’s precise Giga layouts aren’t clear online, while Grand Hotel Lund provides a much more detailed equipment list.
Before you confirm—and especially before you pay—it’s worth asking about:
The exact capacity in the seating layout you want
Which microphones, cameras, speakers and connections are included
Any accessibility needs your participants may have
Catering options and rules about bringing your own food or fika
Cancellation charges and booking deadlines
A quick check now can save a lot of last-minute improvisation later.
